Fuel filter last more than 14000 miles

Wouldn't a guy be better off running a 10 micron in back and the stock filter in front? That way the 10 micron catches the majority of the crap, and the 2 micron "scrubs" the fuel of the last remaining contaminants? Obviously you'd have to change them both at the same time, but if you wanted the cleanest fuel...

205k on first the factory one and 2nd the updated one with 10k to 15k changes with no problems tells me I should keep doing what I already am.

No disagreement here. 98k on ours with no issues. However, if I was going to add a filter, it'd be a 10 or 5 micron closer to the tank, letting that get the "bulk" of the contaminants out before going to the OEM filter to get the 2-4.99 micron stuff.

That is how I "polish" my fuel 10 nominal Racor into a 5 micron nominal rebranded Stanadyne (all OEM style for 6.5s aer Stanadyne mfr regardless of the box labeling) I may opt for a 2 somewhere down road, but I'm not dealing with a common rail 22Kpsi fuel system either so a little more tolerant to debris.
