I've seen quite a few, they are two models old, and they are a bunch of F-150's with F-250 logos on them. Impostors, anyone else seen this or know anything about it??

Im not a Ford guy, but around here I seen them and a buddy has them. They are eight lug "hd" half tons..

Ford did make a 250 with the same body styles as a 150 for a few years. I think it was in the late 90's, like 97 or 98. They were 3/4 tons, just a different style. There was a name for them but I cant remember what it is now that I think about it. They only made them for 1 or 2 years.

Nick, it could've been that year.. not a doubt. Didn't know they made it like that.. it was the same exact thing as an F-150 on the outside however.. hmm..

My neighbor has one. It is the fugly 97-02-ish F-150 bodystyle, with 7-lug hub/wheels. It's a legitimate Ford product, just their version of a light-duty 3/4 ton.

Thos are F250 7700's my dad owned one in 00. They where funky. The axle was set way to the rear of the truck. The wheels where I think 7 lugs. Ford called them a light duty 3/4 ton.

A guy at my work has one of those. He says that it actually tows very well.

Same situation for a buddy of mine-his work has a light duty F250 and he says that it actually tows better than their company F550. Now wether he just hates powerstrokes or the 7 lug truck actually tows better is in his mind.

He said something about the F550 having really, really, really low gears, so he can tow with the 7 lug truck faster. I dunno what the deal is with him.

Now on the other end of that, I have a 2004 F150 FX4 and it tows well-meaning it actually handles the load well, but it vibrates like a mother.

Also, for later model F150s with extended cabs and longbeds, they put 7 lug wheels on them for some reason. Don't know why, don't really care. But they still called them F150s.

They were a light duty F250 with 7 lugs only produced in 94-98 in a long bed that usually came factory with a Firestone air bag system on them. The spring rate on the rear was a rediculous number that I cannot remember and came with load range E tires. Not my idea of a heavy duty truck but some people liked them....I Guess!
