For those of you up north......

That sure is a classic. I haven't seen a running Jeep PU in a long time. From the pic it sure looks like the body is in pretty decent shape.

Thanks. Its a 77' with 42k miles. My great uncle bought it brand new. The rust is starting to attack however. The bed is shot but the cab is salvageable. Im gonna replace the floor boards this summer and repaint the frame. Just need to find a rust free bed somewhere.....:rof:

Good luck finding a rust free bed. You occasionally will find one in the IFSJA site, but usually to far away. Good luck J trucks are worth saving.

The motor and drivetrain is probably the most valuable in that Jeep. I am surprised that nobody made a fiberglass type bed for those. The trucks were stout.

Thanks Chris you jinxed us. Its snowing here. Pretty light and going to be mixed with rain. Might make for some black ice tomorrow morning. The ground is good and warm so maybe not.. Like always around here its those pesky little shadowy areas and overpasses that will be dangerous since the roads are mostly all clear.

Yep, we have thunder snow right now, snowing so hard I can't see 50ft out the front window..... and my 4x4 is down right now for some install work... go figure...

send it west, we are suffering big time out here. its the 4wd curse. I go buy a 4wd and it quits snowing. and changing the filter was a bitch yesterday, so anyone with a similar truck in 5spd 2wd I will trade! :D no snow and a 4wd truck for a few feet and a 2wd, sounds like the trade of the century!

Oh what are you talking about ????? It was snowing this morning, had to seriously consider using the truck to take the kids to daycare instead of the car. I mean there must have been at least 1/60000 of an inch on the ground for a nanosecond before it melted :D

I was hoping for a big dump in Kansas. We can steal some snow from south or west out here! :D

Home (and west) is a vague word for me, I do need to clarify. I am either overstaying my welcome at the family farm with grandma in Idaho, or not moving out of my mothers house in Kansas. :D either way, I leave a miniature 6.5L junkyard in my wake! still need to rathole a free 141 block I dug out of the scrap (at a good friends farm equipment dealership. they give the scrap away to get free pickup, so I spotted it and they pulled it out with a forklift and loaded it too! )in a shed somewhere....
