Between my own 3 vehicles and the 6.2 in the waldon loader combined i have far over a million KM on them.And on the trucks i have serviced for others I never seen a busted stock damper yet, wonder what you guys do to have them break up???

I suspect where they were made might matter ?? Who knows. All I know is this was enough to make me change mine. I saw it first hand.
Any tricks to doing the front seals on these ?

Not really...I used a punch or screwdriver on the old seal ...hitting it in on the side to deform it, allowing
access to pry it out. For the install just uses a correct size piece of PVC or something similar to smack it in,
if you dont have a seal install tool.
