PM for e-mail if you dont have it on file anymore.

thanks for wrangling the good price!

OK we finaly made it!

Everyone please PM me the part #/s you want and your email address so I can send a Paypal invoice.
Thanks to the members that made this work.

ok, sent you a PM with all info.

I am waiting on a pending application for a credit card. will it affect anyone but me if I dont pay the paypal bill for a few days?

If it affects others, I have enough money in my checking account to use my debit card.

Allrighty then, waiting on restoguys info. And, payments from everyone.
Its still not to late for anyone else to get in.

a motivational phrase for the fluidamprs, you may or may not want it, but you damn sure need it! (how often is something a need rather than a want? :) )

going from an ok looking OEM damper to a fluidamper was night and day. less gear rattle in the SM465, smoother through the RPM band, pretty impressed overall! that problem that acesneights had with slag on the nose was apparently a fluke, as mine was slag free, and overall a very impressive piece of manufacturing!
(and dont forget the full sheet of fluidampr decals for you decal enthusiasts!)

thanks again Leroy.

We have 3 now and a possible 4th from restoguy.
@ Turbonator since one of the HB's will be coming here anyway I won't charge the extra to get it here Just the USPS from me to you "IF" you can get in on this group buy.

actually right now over at DP can have a fluidamper for $349 + free shipping anywhere in the states, up to us here will be $367.00 + $39.00 shipping (with the exchange).... so you guys know where we will be buying ours...

so you guys know where we will be buying ours...

I have to say that is pretty shitty of you to post that. How about I come over and take some food right off your table!
You as a self employed professional of all pepole!
Better handled in a PM.
I'll just spell it out, I make $12 on a sale, I've worked hard the last few weeks putting this deal together and feel $12 (less than 3%) profit on a $400+part is very fair, so take your business to the non supporting vendor. It makes it real hard and very unmotivating to try and put other deals together in the future.

So now I have to ask, If GM Guy, Tanman and restoguy are still in? There is absolutely no hard feeling toward you if you back out. I'll just cancel your invoice. I understand $$ makes the world go round.

its not the first time you gave us an unrealistic quote, remember the kodiak door handle deal? it was almost double the price for that, and the world does revolve around money, or you would not be in business, it is pretty simple... if people want a deal, they need to look, or buy out of loyalty, i am suprised that you did not see it here in deal finder section, if i was in your business i would buy them from them and sit on them for a couple months and resell them in the spring for a better profit... there are no hard feelings on my part what-so-ever, if i can help a member find a better deal and save some money so be it, its on you to find a better deal for group buys.... and as a self-employed proffesional, i deal with this all the time, and always have a back up plan, when something falls through.... i never put all my eggs in one basket...

As far as the deal finder post, I did not see it, So then why If it was allready posted on this forum did you fill the need to post it right here? other than to destroy the group buy?
As far as Kodiak I was 50% less than GM. My parts were GM parts. There are (to my understanding now) aftermarket handle available now for less? I would be shocked if you got GM handles for less than I sold mine for.

Look, I won't go back and forth with you as I know no one really wants to hear it, I'll just say it was unprofessional/Rude (and should be against the rules here) to post a non supporting vendors products and ontop of that right in my (supporting vendors) thread.

You need to have this conversation with your supplier and ask them why you are being undercut so badly! Is there a larger number to get a better discount or WTH is the deal? I understand you worked hard to put this together, but, looks like your supplier (or FD) isn't giving you the best deal. I'd tell your supplier 'this is what they are selling for and why can't you match it?' FD is in a world of hurt if they are going to give discounts to one vendor over another.

Believe me Ive had that conversation. Only thing I can figure is they have old stock from before price increases. I will be talking to FD directly though and see what they can offer.

Great! thank you.
restoguy is still in also.

If at all possible I'll get the price down too. Just waiting to hear back from FD.

I am still in as well.

the low price on the other deal has me curious, as does acesneights issue with slag. is there some inported fakes running around out there?

I am not gonna complain over 50 bucks. Leroy will make up for it with good customer service, which happens to be the other thing that the world revolves around.

Customer service, is why I do my shitting at Wal-Mart and my shopping at Kroger stores. :D

Leroy, not trying to de-rail the thread, but what is the difference between the damper for the DB2 and the DB4?

Really just curious more than anything but....I plan on converting my truck over to mechanical when the pump goes again, so I dont want to have to buy a different damper too when the time comes.

Thanks
Nick

Absolutely no difference between the dampers themselves, the difference lies in the fact that the DS4 equipped engines have a reluctor built into the lower timing gear, the DB2 equipped engines do not have the reluctor(in most cases)and require a spacer to make up the difference in distance from the balancer to the gear.

The 2 different part #'s exist because 1 part has the spacer and 1 does not.

If you switch from a DS4 to a DB2 and keep the same timing set you will not be affected.

Racer55 is correct. I'd actually recomend everyone just get the 800191 then not use the spacer if you don't need it.
I'll be sending the last invoice out next, once payments are received I'll place the orders.
Thank you again.

... you said 141 was for the ds4, it has the reluctor ring in it, so did you mean everybody get the 141?

Thank you.
