Finally starting my own ATT swap

I feel better now thanks.
The burb did 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds in my dream lastnight. In reality do you guys think the 6.5 would do it in 6.5 seconds? I'll get a video soon.

I did not get the oil filter adapter cinched down correctly and dumped nearly the entire sump of oil onto the driveway. Still have a giant spot there on the asphalt driveway. The driveway is due for replacement and I want to do it in paving stones, but I need to cover 8,000 SF and I want to finish the Big Bear remodel before I pull the trigger on that $$$,$$$

My 95 can hump it in 12-13 w/ buddy tune and near 300k. One of these days something will give.

I doubt a 6.5 can, but with a little more work your BURB CAN do it. Mine will 0-60 in a shade under 6 seconds with 3.42 gears. Need to get a video of it now that I have a good CP3 in it. I did 0-60 in a shade over 6 seconds with a junk CP3, so I should be under 6 now.

My truck is a solid 9.4 sec 0-60 as measured by an accelerometer and data logging software from the OBDII data stream. You'd need trap lights to get more accuracy.

The performance is in there, you just have to find it.

sub 9 second times are gonna be a bear if you want that out of a 6.5. Probably not worth chasing as reliability will start to suffer. My truck is playing with the rated limits of the 4L80E now as it is.

You can still chase it if ya want though, but I'd have some spare cash put aside for "breakage".

:)

Actually Im pretty happy where its at. Im not going to have time to post a video until next week.

Is anyone seriously interested in an ATT intake to intake adaptor? I don't want to gear up for it if noone would be buying.
I'll post a seperate thead with that in the title so more peeps will see it.

Once I free up enough $ to buy an att, a intake kit would be nice.

My 93 currently sits turboless but otherwise road worthy. Slowly scrapping it together.

My intake was hacked during the install, so not anymore . . .

More interested in getting 3" from the turbo to a Peninsular intake to work with a bonus of rotating the Peninsular intake so that there is only one 90* bend ;)

And toward getting to 0 - 60 in 6.5 seconds. Easily done. Come on by and will gladly show how it is possible (hint: it involves a 5% grade :hihi: )

An adaptor that raises and rotates the peninsular 90* could be done too. When I get back in town next week I'll get crackin on them.

1/4.... can always bush it down if needed...

OK 1/4" and 1/8" it will be.

By the by, thank you's to sctrailrider, Leroy and, belatedly, 635 for the 1/4" NPT tap suggestions. The upper and lower intakes I have from 635 that are weeping CDR return oil at several of the tapped holes can be 'repaired' this way using the 1/4" sleebs with 1/8" NPT bushings or 1/4" plugs. That's a huge relief. 635 had suggested that but I saw it as just the plugs and hadn't considered the sleeves. Meaning, I didn't saw it as permanent 'fix' for the weeping but no option to revert. Never considered the bushing and my EGT sender is 'bushed' to correct size too. Another face-palm plant.
Ah, moments of clarity...thank you...all three of you, for seeing what I couldn't initially.

Truck yes, but you'll never see 0-60 in 9 seconds out of a Burb.
