Finally Got All The Lights Up & Running

Does it look like it's possible to Mod the Housings of those Lights for an HID Bulb?

Have you ever Opened them up?

Don't wanna put HID's in them. I still want some type of light that's good in the fog or snow.

Also no dark pics tonight can't find my damn camera charger. It's MIA

I guess you never heard of 3k HID's? ):h

Damn.

How's the Light Output compared to Nick's PIAA's, if you've ever compared them?

He got the lights in there after I moved. Or they werent hooked up at least.

We've both seen 3k HID's and I wasnt impressed. I was actually gonna put those in my fogs for the longest time but until I saw them in another silverado, I decided against it. They werent amber. They were gold. The light was great, just didnt like the color. If I could find a true amber, much like our DRL bulbs, I'd be inclined to switch.

HID's are pretty much worthless in heavy snow. Up there, it f'n snows, period. You cant see shit because of so much glare. I usually just turned on my parking lights and PIAA's with DRL's to get around at night when it was really shitty.

Yea, 3k is as Gold as Gold can get. I like it. Especially on Start Up, they are a Lime Green Color until they Warm Up. :D

I'm pretty sure I can get Orange though, as a Special Order, lemme check for ya.

I will be back up here after I leave Texas and the snow and salt would just eat up HID's in the bumper. I have a hard enough time keeping the highs and lows clean.

I can't find them, but I know I've seen them before.

Since you can't find you better keep looking and get back to use when you do find them. ):h

How's the Output / Coverage? Would you feel ok Driving at Night with just the Fogs on?

What ones do you have? Wide / Driving / Spot?

I went fishing Sunday and got my phone wet so I had to buy a new one. Then Monday I worked a 24 hour shift here at the kennels. So today hopefully I will be going to Best Buy and seeing if they have a charger for it and tonight some night shots.

Down the Road Shot with just the Fogs on? :)

...and what ones do you have? Spot, Driving, or Wide?

...got a Parking Light out too, and it looks like you got the New Simulated LED Signal Housings too. ;)

I believe they are shot or driving. Yeah a filament is out on it cause the turn signal works. Simulated LED turn signals are nice. The LED ones were nice, but didn't last long at all.

Down the road shot will be tomorrow.

I got the Driving and Wide for my Setup. Gonna put the Driving in the Middle and Wide on the Outside. Should be good.

Would you feel Comfortable driving with just the Fogs on at Night? Are they Bright enough?

Good question. I did have 100w bulbs in log time ago, but they were blowing fuses on the stock switch so I put 55w. Now they are their own switch I should try going back to the 100w, but I would still like them to be more like the rest of the amber lights not yellow. Still haven't tried the orange paint either.

I wish my HIRS would burn out so I could upgrade to HIDS. Should have done that in the first place. Although I get flashed enough by people and the g/f says she won't let me go brighter.
