Well its been almost 2 years from that faithful day when we were headed upnorth with 4 of us and a loaded 28 foot 6 place snowmobile trailer. We were about 100 miles away from home motoring along @70 and all of sudden boom, the crank broke, damn.
It broke right at the rod counter weight. Towed it home and she sat for almost two years.
I tried gathering up enough money for a cummins swap, I have a brand new 1997 12v cummins but I dont have the time nor the money to put a trans behind it to live.
So I bought a good 6.5 N/A off ebay and swapped parts to make a good motor.
Install one of our ATT turbos on it, so hopefully she will be ready to make smoke next week

Guys just so you know, Hank is the machinist who did the original ATT prototypes. He is an excellent and talented machinist.

its been a long day:rolleyes5: out of curosity why are you running a intercooler with the att. i thought the att did a good enough job of cooling to not need the intercooler

ATT for normal & light tow driving does not need an IC, if towing heavy on a hot day you most probably will need some post compression cooling especially if sustained boosting above 10 psi.

IIRC Hank also dabbles in antique tractors, and tows them to shows so may need IC or WMI when hauling those.

Turbine, Besides towing sometimes 3 tractors to the shows we also have a 32 foot Sportsmen travel trailer thats 8000 lbs and that will pull just as hard as my 30 foot gooseneck loaded with 12-15000 lbs of old iron.

When i didnt have a intercooler my IAT would be around 240-250 deg! and after the intercooler its around 140-150 so after installing ATT it should be 20-30 cooler

Well I spent all day today installing the trans, transfercase and engine cleaning and painting parts as I go. I ordered a new converter its a 1000-1200 stall billet stator and a kevlar clutch should be a nice unit. I only need to finish up a few things and she should be ready to make some smoke
