Take the laptop with you next time you get into PR shopping ... drive around in hotel parking lots until you get a decent wireless signal and then park for a while... download all your virus updates, run windows update, etc.

Lots of people and places don't know how to secure their wireless and so it's open for people to 'borrow' the signal a bit.

Wished I had known you wanted to buy a high speed sat setup....I have mine for sale for 200 bucks. It got me by until the phone company offered DSL.

Well,i joined the highspeed sat internet today,Its faster than dialup,but not as fast as i thought it would be by a longshot.
