fancy recessed grease fitting on new u-joints. need a coupler.

hey everyone,

I am putting a set of AC delco professional USA made u-joints in the 93 K2500HD.

they have a fitting in one end cap, and it is some kind of recessed tapered fitting. a concave pan head screw of sorts, as you install it with a flat blade screwdriver, but it has a spring loaded ball in the bottom of the concave bowl.

the smallest grease fitting we have in stock is still too big, but maybe if I ordered them in I could convert to a regular nipple, but having more tools and adapters isnt bad, so a conversion coupler would work too.

any input as to where to find a coupler for this fitting? I have never seen one of these things before.

AFAIK it is referred to as a DIN 3405 fitting. Look like the bottom-right most picture in this document? http://www.als-info.com/documents/Page38_39.pdf

On mine there is a grease zerk inside the end to attach the grease gun to.

This is a grease fitting that replaces the regular one on the hose. I don't care for those grease nipples. I got it at a Bumper to Bumper.

I got an old stock one that looks different, but the number stays the same. the napa a few towns away had it.
