Fan Clutch time

I went ahead and ordered the Hayden 2839 severe duty from Amazon. The price was unbeatable and we have the Prime option so shipping is fast.

... It may not be the best, but I figure when the water pump dies I will upgrade to the 2000+ equal flow pump and Duramax fan/clutch at that time. Then end up with what Alexe has on his rig.

I will keep you all posted next time I tow... In day to day driving the fan will not come on anyway as the motor does not go above 195.

I ended up paying 144 shipped. Granted there was one listed for 121 but then add 20 for shipping and your are in the same spot either way.

That 4Seasons for $46 is a steal......Hayden, Imperial, 4Seasons, it's all the same.......I think 4Seasons bought everyone else out.

i know its not a 4 bolt variant.
i run a dmax blade and hayden 2886 clutch. granted i have alot more grill area then most of your trucks do with my 3500HD
i hauled this 8500lb (21300lb GVW)tank from cincinatti to louisville on wednesday down I71 you hit a 5% grade as soon as you get into KY then the only really flat parts are the side of the hills you are either going up or down make things worse had a nice 15-20mph head wind majority of the way.on the 150 mile run i spent 120 of it bewteen 195-205* ect most fo the time in 3rd gear with the pedal floored to maintain 55-60mph. this thing caught so much freaking air it aint funny!

anothe note this was a 20'x8'x2" plate steel.. cat scale between light and heavy wieght came out to 14,080lb GVW 26,800lb 70mph down I71 from east of youngstown to NE columbus you didnt know it was there.

Dang Malibu that is a good load!

Well the Amazon order somehow got screwed up on the Hayden fan clutch... So on Brooklyn's input I switched to the Four Seasons SD fan clutch.

The Four Seasons Severe Duty fan clutch PN is 36754 and was $110 shipped through Amazon.

I will keep you all posted when it arrives.
