The new collector is undoubtedly better. Compare the wall thickness of the new collector with a mileage of 100 kmiles

You may need to remove the broken bolts. Thread m10x1.5.
In severe cases, nitric acid may be used. I etched a broken glow plug. The head remained untouched.

And so, what does the nitric acid do, soak in and eat away the rust and dirt ? That looks like some mighty nice drilling too.

Acid dissolved the remains of a glow plug.
Hazardous mechanical removal may damage the m10x1 thread.
Rusty color due to the chemical reaction of nitric acid with the formation of copper salts contained in glow plug.
Oddly enough, the cast-iron heads remained intact.
Acid was diluted to 20%.

It is important that the acid is diluted. Concentrated metal passivation and lack of reaction
