Duratherms?

I printed out a online page from Rockauto,,, using the 5% discount code found elsewhere on this site,,, and took it to Autozone, and they matched the price.
 
Just a reminder, guys - when you're looking for parts, take a minute to contact one or more of our site vendors. Fairly often, they HAVE the parts you are looking for (sometimes you have to look through their catalogue a little to find them, hidden under the Duramax stuff, but us Dinosaur-Diesel guys should be getting used to that!)

If they don't have your produce listed, ask them; Most times, they can get it for you. Their prices for site members are usually pretty good, and their warranty and the way they treat us is ALWAYS worth the call.

They support us, we should support them, ya know what I mean??

Ya, Wrecker gave me a good deal for a few Amsoil air and oil filters and they came right ot my front door. Nice!
 
There is a 'Vendor Requests' forum, but your question might sit for a bit before it jumps out at one of our vendors and they get back to you...

Last time I needed something, I went to the vendors forums and looked around to see who might have it... at least 3 of our vendors (Bill Heath, Kyle at Xtreme Diesel and Chad at Alligator) have online dedicated 6.2/6.5 sections in their catalogues - I'd email them directly at their site address if I didn't see what I needed - make sure you tell them you're a member here. Leroy at pmdcable is another great source for parts and advice that you might try.

Like most parts dealers, these guys can order all kinds of stuff, so they can often get it for you even if they don't usually carry it.

If they can't match the price you get somewhere else, then tell them so; nobody wants you to spend more money, but it's been my experience that the service and warranty they give us is well worth the call. Sometimes, WalMart parts don't save you money, right?

Besides, giving them a look and a call lets them know we appreciate their sponsorship, if nothing else!
 
Thanks for the replies, if n I can get em for 10 bucs or less a piece at my local Autozone, that is prolly what I will do...same as any other thing I order, I like the idea of walking in, handing over the dough & walking out with the product, call me old.

THe local autozones here only carry Autolite GPs.

Do you have a Pepboys near you? They should have a few Duraterms in stock.
 
When AZ hooked me up,, they had to order them from there warehouse,, took 1 day, and I didn't have to prepay. I got Autozone to price match Rock auto on a set of Bosch Duratherm's got them for $8.99 ea. instead of $11.99 witch is there stock price
 
Thanks for all the info, I'll make a few calls, I'm just getting stuff lined up for spring. I still have not installed my new Sunpro gauges yet :sad:

Wanna get the GP's, clean out my intake or replace it, install new gauges, prolly change out the oil cooler & lines or just do the lines & clean the radiator & install new A/C delco thermostat.

Fudge maybe I just trade it for a newer Duramax...:eek:...:nono:
