I have a case of synthetic DOT3 on hand for the eventuality of brake line replacement

I like dot 4 myself. From my experience, the dot 4 stays cleaner longer, and doesn't seem to absorb moisture as badly as dot 3 does.

I like DOT4 myself, but couldn't find enough, so I caved in and used DOT3.

I spray lines at a minimum, but sprayed the whole underside of my wife's Suburban last year, before winter - about 6 cans to do as much as I did. I'll be doing it again this year, as well as my GMC

I hope a lifetime. These are T304 stainless. Best you can get. OEM were just steel.
Mike, mine pitted directly underneath the drivers seat. But your right, the last few winters were tough up here. Salt is killing the truck.

Sacrificial anodes our trucks in the salt/rust belt.

They are the Russell braided stainless steel lines.
Brake pedal is real firm. Better than when it was new.

To me from just the photo it looks like your bushings are well worn, like pieces squeezing out. Usually it's easier and more cost effective to throw in new upper arms that contain new bushings and ball joints. But if your alignment is holding up, no need yet.

OK. Thanks. Alignment on this truck has been spot on since new.
If I have to replace the upper A arms, I may just upgrade to the arms with the better geometry. Better ball joint angles. [emoji106]

Yep, it makes good sense to swap them out entirely rather than beating them up installing new bushings and joints. After all they're just stamped sheet metal from the factory. If I've seen one arm like this in Ohio, I've seen ten hundred
