So I was reading R&Ds comments on plungers not filling fast enough on a db2 causing output to drop off at higher rpms. So my question is would a ds4 benefit from a boost referenced regulator for higher rpm output?

The DS4 has dual feed to the plungers . Way ahead of the DB2 in plunger fill. The DB2 restricts fuel to the plungers, for throttle control. The DS4 dumps fuel away, after the plungers are already full and pumping, for throttle control.

You would need a charge psi gauge to see if psi drops at full throttle.

I would have to look at one again, kinda thinking there's a bolt on either side. You would have to drill it,and braze a fitting on it. There's also a threaded plug near the top, that is probably charge psi,I will have to check.

Les,the bolt with the little screw in the center on the Dr side of the pump next to the PMD pad is the transfer pump pressure test port.
I been thinking of hooking up a gauge to that but never got around to it (have trouble finding a fitting and not a lot of room to screw one in there with the intake in the way)
I would not take that bolt out, changes are the 0 rings are sticking to the housing and leave pieces behind and no easy way of getting it out with the pump in the truck..

Me thinks if the plungers don't fill fast enough the transfer pump is not putting out or 1 or more of the plungers are sticky.
Bill Heath is running his at 5000+ RPM without fuel issues it seems.
