Does this sound ok???

That darn cat! 230000 miles on both engine and injectors I was going to rebuild the injectors but I got another car for my daily driver. mostly this truck is used for the farm so its not started much.
 
Sounds fine. Does it sounds different than it used to? If it now sounds different, then I would be rebuilding the injectors and checking out the EGR system. It sounds like you already ripped out the catalytic converter, right?
 
oh yeah, that was the first thing I did. recently I replaced all the vacuum lines and cleaned out the upper intake manifold it had lots of oil sludge buildup. It was all from the "tuna can" tubing that attaches to the turbo inlet. I am planning on cleaning the intake properly if I ever get around to rebuilding the injectors.

But to answer your question. The smoke is usual but the engine hesitation is strange this wasn't a cold start it was after it was warmed up and driven like 4 hours before and also it was 100 F out there.
