Does changing tire size affect performance?

Joe,
I ran them for one season without spacers, they were real close to touching, made me nervous anytime I freighted the truck down heavy. Even though supposedly rubbing tires popping is an old wives tale. I bought the cheap 1.5 inch spacers off ebay, yeah there's 8 more lugnuts but it bought me some peace of mind. And I really don't have to pull them off very often. I'd see no reason at all to go 2 inch, my 1.5 is more than enough. I think it digs better this way too.
I like the look of those Maxis tires, almost went with them but found a great sale price on my TrXus MTs. I had a set on a Wrangler and loved them, so I knew they were a good quiet, aggressive tire. They've proven to be phenomenal for plowing.
Dan

Thanks Dan. I will have to look at the TrXus Mt's. I found an outfit in Little Rock that will send me 6 of Maxxis for $ 900. The only thing that concerns me is they might be blems they said they cant garuntee that they are not because they bye liquidation, but price seems right.
