I have 1990 chevy 3500 with the 454/3 speed manual transmission, my interest has been peeked on swapping to a LT8 6.6 that gmc offers. Question ive been puzzled with is, will a dodge 6 speed manual bolt up? And if so or even if not, are there any suggestions to which will. Thanks in advance

Not as sexy as a 6 speed, the NV4500 (GM 5 speed) will bolt right up. The NV4500 has its shortcomings but when shored up is a solid piece. The OD section has a common easy to fix problem. I would think ratio-wise it would be good behind a LT8. No real-world experience here just factoring/musing combinations... Sounds like a cool swap!
