Has anyone been in contact with diesel depot in the last week? Jamie isn't answering the phone any more and not replying to e-mails. Several other people over at the Place haven't had any success either.I shipped a set of heads to them:eek: and i'm wondering if I will ever see them again.:sad:
The other guys looking for him have warrenty claims and haven't heard from him in over a week.:mad2: Very poor way to run a business if you ask me.

Sometimes the only person you can trust is the one you see in the mirror every morning.

Could be a lot of reasons. Jammie doesn't respond quickly, but I took that as he's involoved with operating the company, IE doing some of the work. So I expect a slower response.

Totally blowing customers off for more than a week is unacceptable to me. He is sitting on $1000 worth of my parts and holding up my project. He shouldn't have promised what he can't deliver. This is just plain poor business practices. The 2 guys over at the place have been without their trucks for more than a week because of him not answering calls on their warrenty. Hiring another employee would be alot cheaper than the bad publicity he's getting now.

I think they have always been like that IIRC.

Kenny, did they at least honor orders ?

I hope so ... and I do believe there are trustable.

I read they are established for quite a good time, and if they last, there might be reasons for...

I just ordered them an engine, and Jamie has been very helpful and present, responding fine to e-mails. He might just be a lot busy at the moment

I went by their shop last month not much in the way of reception staff at the Depot (Jaimie is the one who answers the phone mostly) which is about 2 miles from the salvage yard, I suspect Jaimie is off, or building engines, either one sux when somebody is holding your coins and you can't talk to them, I even told Jaimie their rep gets hurt when they fall off the communications radar and don't answer phone. I'll try from my end to get a respose as well.

I just recieve a very brief email from jamie avant. Supposedly my heads are on the way back to me.I sent a nastygram back to him.Should hear back in a week or so.Maybe not.

I spoke to him today also he sounded tired but I don't know him good enough to ask why.

Hang tight, wait until you see 'em, bk95td... there's always time later to slag the guy; apologies are harder to manage.

Just my 2 bits... last time I got all worked up over a vendor, he ended up doing more than right by me. Made me feel bad, 'cause in the end, he didn't deserve what I threw at him - it was somebody else's fault.

Of course, if you feel like you've been had, then let 'er rip.

True fact Jim.
I bought Jamie a used engine, as the cheapest was the goal.
When he realised he has to ship an engine so far (to New Caledonia) he generously offer to put on new head gaskets and bolts + kind of improvement in the heads cooling passages, for no overcharge.
He just want to be sure I'll receive a trouble free good engine.

Jamie might be facing a kind of emergency I believe, just give him a few time, I'm sure everything will go back to normal...

If comunication is good I don't mind waiting. If you are kept in the dark you can only immagine whats going on.Honesty is the best policy. To simply blow people with warrenty problems off really makes you question who you are dealing with. The thread over at the place was started by one of the people being blown off. That was why I started this thread here was to see just how many people this has happened to. Bad communication can bury the best work very fast.
How my heads were to be shipped to me was supposed to be addressed before they were shipped.Never happened.
