Diamond Eye Exhaust

Just ordered one up. Can't beat the price w/free shipping. Hopefully this one works better than the Jardine I ordered last year... it never came :)

It will come in a box almost 5 feet tall, and looks like you could build a stove out of it...

curious to know how much quieter it is, when im plowing and up against a building it echoes like an s.o.b... But its addicting...

With Plow on my truck weighs a few hundred lbs over 10k, it would be loud as hell... To me, the straight=thru muffler will be plenty loud enough. I already turn enough heads.

My winter mode is in the 8's 600 pound ballast plus plow and truck (aka: two wheel drive button)....

Could one of you guys with the DIAMOND EYE on a SUBURBAN post a picture of how it fits over the rear axle?

ASK! and ye shall receive.

Front looking back

Back looking front........and up.

I like my Diamond Eye system. It does have a nice grumble to it and can get loud when you give it more stupid. Especially sounds sweet under full throttle. My only complaint with it is it sounds too "airy;" like more air is passing than exhaust. Contemplating straight pipe just for fun.

It's defvinately a tight fit, espescially mine with a CORSA muffler on it.

What did that corsa do for you sound wise?

And whats that other screen thing hangin there?

Mine isn't coupled up to a 6.5, I have a DURAMAX in my SUB. Today was my first drive in it, but sound wise it is pretty quiet except for when I gave it some pedal and then it talked to me loud and clear. That screen is the fuel cooler, the DMAX uses a fuel cooler mounted underneath to keep the fuel cool since they run at such high injection pressures.

She must scoot along with little to no effort at all!

I didn't see an edit button so I'll just post them. In the second pic it might look like the exhaust and shock are touching but there's decent room.

Do yourself a favor and get the flat band type clamps. They don't compress the tube and you can get the exhaust apart without cutting it later.

Those are like 14 beans a piece... The exhaust is cheap enough I guess, it'll just rust together anyhow... I'll spray all the hardware down really good with rustoleoum a few times after install... about all you can do for it..

I put that system on last winter, only thing was not all the clamp/hangers made sense to me. Couldn't use them all, one had nothing that lined up, and one I had to modify for my app, but overall it wasn't a bad job. I previously had a 3.5 inch Banks with cat and muffler deleted, it sounded seriously badazz. I didn't want to lose the turbo whistle but I was afraid of being too loud with 4 inch and no muffler, so I installed the muffler, but it is a straight thru with louvers facing front, so I put it on backwards so the louvers don't catch the exhaust. It's quieter than the old straight pipe was, still got turbo whistle but not as much. I've never had the opportunity to listen to it while someone else drives off in it, but I think it probably sounds ok. If I had to do it over again I'd lose the muffler. It could stand to be a little louder, and I personally don't like real loud exhaust. Mines pretty heavy plowing too, and it isn't too bad when I'm in someones driveway at 3 am. Not like my old gassers with headers were.
