Diagnosing Air Leaks in the Fuel Line

well, air leaks are the least of my problems now on that truck, blew her up. :( I think it was EGT related, either rings or a piston, real bad puffy blowby on one hole.

269,098 was the last odometer reading that she moved under her own power. We flat towed it to a guys place, and left it behind and came home with the 95 C2500HD and trailer. So technically I still havent been stranded in a 6.5L, as it limped off the road to a little town, but I needed to call in a backup rig and go to plan b. :(.

Thanks Leo! :)

I think this was a test of my 6.5L loyalty. anyone else would have said f#@& it and buy a duramax or a cummins, I am blaming myself for not having an egt guage and am planning a build involving a spare 599 shortblock and a ATT. :)

I have concluded the electronic 6.5Ls are a little more forgiving on no guages, the mech. pump engines can really go to shit if the timing is not perfect and you still ahve a small turbo.

This latest incedent is not helping my like for mech. pump engines, I have allways had a soft spot for the 95s, and this latest incedent is pushing that preference further. :)

When you get the parts bill for the Cummins...

You could have just cracked a piston from old age...
