My truck is only used for plowing Snow in the winter. So of course the vent is not going to defrost. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to permanently change it to defrost. I only need it to work on defrost. I think there should be a way to manually move the damper.

You likely have an arm off one of the doors. You will have to lay on your back and look up on the drivers side of the transmission hump.

I had a look this morning. Was able to manually move the arm to the defrost position. I unplugged the actuator so it does not get accidentally moved. This will be fine as the truck is only used for snowplowing. Thanks for your help
