death in the family

Again very sorry for your loss. My prayers to you and your family. I thank him for his service to this country....

Condolences to you and your family, Dave. It's hard to lose a loved one, but when they've lived a full life and have been suffering a debilitating illness it's good to know they have gone to the Lord and are at peace.

Thank you guys. This really does help. :smile5:

He's pain free now, and he's got his memories back. loosing those is what hurt him the most i think.

Sorry to hear that news Dave... Keep in mind he is in better spirits now, pain free, and can now enjoy himself once again. This life for him has passed on to the next, he has seen alot and thanks to him you and your family are here. Do not mourn his passing too much, I guarantee he would not want that.

Dave I am sorry for your loss, I just buried my friend today, whom I have known for 20 plus years. He was 81 and died on Memorial Day, a befitting end to his life given that he was a WW2 Army Air pilot.

I will miss him, he was one of a kind, and more than just a friend, more like a second father. So I understand, I am happy he is not suffering, but sad for me because I miss his company.

Sorry to hear it Dave. The old saying of "they don't make them like they used to" is true of that generation. We are not as tough as they were.

To your grandfather: Thank you for your service to our country!

Sorry for your loss Dave. I can't do much for you, but you know that one buddy in the pacific ocean thinks about you.
I lost Dad several years ago and still talk to him. I'm just surprised sometimes he doesn't answer me, but I know he is around---

Take care.
