A few of us have made headers at some point.
Incredible tedious. Time to look at the lowest cost kit how to make everything fit I have seen yet.

Also would work for custom exhaust if they have the sizes available…

I sent them an email regarding a couple questions I have about fitting a set of headers to the 1959 W100 Power Wagon.
Mainly about the centerline radius.
Not a lot of room between the frame rail and the port level of the heads, especially to the drinkers( right ) side.😹

See what their response is.

Basically anyone considering it should check out their videos, website, etc.
Not just headers, full exhaust, roll bars, roof racks, etc. they have a lot of learning tips on their videos.

Some mighty nice projects that they are putting together.
I just wonder, after they get those vehicles perfected if they will be sold as a kit form to be welded together then drive train installed.

Ok, stirring this back up.
I get the annoying near daily emails from Summit, Jegs, etc. and they have dual 3” exhaust kits on sale and it got me to thinking (a dangerous prospect, I know)…

I’ve mentioned before that long tube headers are proven to increase torque. Also it helps with the negative pressure wave to help flow past the valves.

In a hmmwv/hummer if a guy was willing to give up ground clearance and let exhaust go below the frame, this would work. But I can’t remember how much space is in a pickup.

Set of headers that both go down along engine. After the collectors tie two pipes together like a X or H Exhaust for the balance effect then back together into one pipe actually going foreward under the balancer.

That one pipe turns & run up along front of the engine so the turbo sits a hair more foreward like the banks sidewinder kit (a couple inches closer to front than GM location. Then exhaust back down in the normal spot.

Simply having the two headers instead of manifolds was good in all gas v8 of the 70’s & 80s for 40hp & 25 torque if short headers and 30hp 40torque for long tube headers.
Then having the 8 cylinders doing equal work instead of un balanced like gm did- that has to free up some power- probably mpg too.

Then a single tube to that turbo to spin it like it’s supposed to and preferably a T4 flanged unit if high power or trying to dissipate heat or T3 with smaller “up pipe” if trying to keep air speed up for quicker spool.

I know I mentioned something similar to a couple guys before but seeing the parts for sale just sparked my memory & intrigue.
