They say these CUCV's are bad azz off road and I believe it. The family cat passed away today(it was her time) and of course it's nothing but mud out, snowing and the ground is too hard to dig by hand so I was trying to dig a hole with the skidsteer and buried it to the belly pan. The ground was nasty slick soupy mud. I though for sure I'd be paying someone to come in with something on track to pull it out but the CUCV did it effortlessly with my wife driving it. I can't believe I got the machine out. I LOVE this truck.:D

YEah it's the cat getting even with me...:D
I tried pushing myself out but there was nothing to push against. I had already dug the hole in front of the machine and then got stuck. I can't believe I got it out. The CUCV didn't even break a sweat and the tires were in pure slick mud.

It almost looks like a stick that's really close to the camera.

Other than that maybe it is the cat getting even with you Kenny.

I hope i can get my blazer to be able to go that effortlessly in snow/mud/etc etc.

I can relate to having to go an recover the skid steer.

We use our skid steer primarily to haul horse manure from the stable up to "Pooville"
Nicer than saying the $hit pile.

One of my boarders hauls up a load from her horses stall and then proceeds to get the skid steer stuck in the pile.
To make matters worse she fools around with it until she gets it laid over on its side in the pile.

Not totally horizontal but far enough that the upside wheels are off the dirt and the ROPS cage is in the poo. YUUUUUUUUUUUUUK

Add to this a 40 MPH wind and rain going sideways.

She has gone off the end of the "Haul Road" which I had graveled some time back.

Had to wade in with the Burb and a long recovery strap and yank the little beast out.

Worst part was the fact that the skid steer was facing away from the way it needed to come out and the back end of it did not have a place to hook a tow strap on.

IT DOES NOW.

We had a serious discussion about driving the skid steer and getting it burried in the poop pile.

Had a training session a few days later.

Not to mention having to steam clean the skid steer.

Oh yess the joys of owning a good 4x4.

Sad for your loss of the Kitty.

Our little kitty of 23 years left us a couple years back.

Helped raise the kid she did and kept us cozy for many a cold winters night when she would curl up under the covers.

Miss them we do.

Is there coincidence or the illusion of coincidence ? My wife's cat was an orange Long hair. Not alot of them around. She passed on Sat and sun morning the local news had a cat in a local shelter that was EXACTLY the same kinda of cat but a male. We have not told our 4 yr old what happended to kitty yet but loosley thought of adoptiong that one. Of course my issue is I swore we'd never own another long hair. Major PIA.
