Crankshaft welding and grinding

I know this isn't where I should post this but does anyone have any reccomendations for a shop that can weld and grind a crank. I'm rebuilding an air compressor and the rod journals need to be welded and turned. I found 1 shop up here and they wanted $365 to weld and turn 2 journals. If I buy a new crank they want $700 This thing only weighs about 15 lbs

yup standard size is 1.75 under size (only one ) .005

What about having the journals hard chromed.
I had that done to set of valve stems that where below specs i think it was less than $12 a valve.
An engine rebuilder should know where to have that done if it can be done.

how much could you build up doing that? I assume it would be ground round and then built back up with chrome

well it looks like I have scored some .020 under bearings found a n outfit in Chicago he's even sending them usps for me.

Excellent much better solution.
Is that quincy or aftermarket? Company name? I get involved with rebuilding older quincy's a wee bit so any leads are welcome for parts.
