Crankshaft Catastrophe

once I get paid on the 15th I will be buying/supporting some Walking J product to fund the rebuild :)

The PO of my 99 Burb replaced the motor at like 20K... Warranty work, so who knows what happened. Other than that the 96 and 99 run like tops with about 180K on each.

the 89, sec engine in 98 over 600.000 km on the first one,70000 on the sec
95, still original. 360.000 km
98 sec engine in 09 268000 on the first,9000 on the sec

212 and change. But not a broken crank, just two spun rods #1&2. Found one main web crack and two cracked heads... Still *ran*. ):h Engine was used up even if it didn't have the bearing issue.

So 2nd engine will be a gently used 6.2 while another fresh engine will be built.

I think anything over 200k you're in rare form. Maintenance is key.

Mine's got 215K miles, still on the original 599 engine, 2nd transmission. Runs fine after an IP at 205k, which replaced the original. It bit the dust for the infamous 4911 hot-start issue. lol
