Code 59 and 81????

I still cant clear the codes, I took the battery cables off and let is sit for a while when I had lunch and it still had both codes. I tried to do the pedal thing again and it didnt work.

Are you checking codes before cranking again? Maybe your TCM is just messed up.

I never turned the engine over when I checked for codes after I did tha battery cables.

I found the reference in the manual that says DTCs 59, 81 and 82 will set with the key on, engine off. So those do not require cranking or running.

They will set when there is no continuity on the lines, like when the transmission harness is unplugged.

So it would be good to check continuity from the transmission harness back to the TCM, but I dont know which connector pins they are on a TCM without a diagram.

Yes I checked the transmission fuse like 40 times.

Thanks for the link, its like 30 degrees outside so Ill have to work on the truck later. Where global warming when you need it.
