I just bought one for BIN because I didn't want to wait, but if you guys take turns buying, you could get them cheap. It seems like he puts a new one up when one sells. linky

I just bought that exact same model from pbt for $57. Very easy to deal with

With shipping and insurance it came out to $70

Send him an email if you can't wait. They have them in stock. I originally ordered up a 445r30 as the 490's were all getting snapped up. Accedently sent me the wrong one with no built in primer, and I called them and lady on the phone said she would refund me, I said how about a 490 instead as its the same price, she said, OK, I have a few heated ones and a a few non heated ones. I said, OK, how about a heated one?

THey mailed me the 490r30 w/heater, and when I received that, I mailed back the 445.

Great service, great racors. PBT.

Double check sizes, as 490 is large, and may need to be creative to mount on standard pickups. My service body hides anything well (except rust), which I have to hide :)

The size is the only thing im concerned with. I was wondering if it would be possible to mount it in the engine compartment, and then send the lines back to the walbro on the frame.

Does anyone have any pics of how they mounted theirs? I was thinking of bolting it to the bed near where the filler hose is. I'll have to make a bracket, then bolt down through the floor of the bed. I figure that will keep it above the frame rail.

Check out Smithvilles album... beautiful truck he has. With a 490r30 mounted & Walbro pix too.

Not a standard pickup body by any means... but if it helps. That is the E-Brake cable you are seeing. I have 4x4 oak 2 of them holding my service body over the frame, thats what the PT blocks are glued and screwed too... Then I lagged the racor to it with 3 1/2 " lags.... I'm a carpenter... lol :)

Also seems you have faith in those electrical (blue) easy tap/ add a tap line.

God those things scare me......especially in the NorthEast with all the sand and salt.

what do you guys think about mounting the filter housing in the engine compartment. Would the walbro have enough balls to draw that far of a distance and then back up to the filter manager???

The UPS guy just handed me mine. All I can say is, holy sh*t! It's wayyy bigger than it looks in the pictures! I think I could beat a bear to death with this.

That was a repair in the middle of the night plowing..... 2 years ago. Hasn't let go since, so I havn't fixed it. Lost half my bed lights, and I just found a live light feed and rigged em up... Keep on truckin...
