hello guys i'm about to buy a newtruck, the truck i'm probably gonna buy is a 1995 cheyenne 2500.
i'm not really a fan of the cheyenne grill and would like to replace it with the silverado front same year and everything. have anyone ever tryd to change it before?
and how much work was it to change it?

thank you guys!

Not sure if you have to go as deep as the Core Support or not. But I believe that you do. Easy job to do with some basic tools and some time.

There used to be a kit offered by mrtaillight.com., but i don't think they offer it anymore. They do offer some of the parts for the swap. It didn't require anything but cosmetic changes and some wiring harness changes.
When you say "cheyenne", you mean work truck grille, right?

I converted a 1979 Chevrolet C2500 to a 1986 Chevrolet C3500. All I really did was swap out the front clip, rear axle, front hubs, and wheels and tires. It was a lot of work but, only required basic hand tools.

If I recall correctly there is a diffrence in the core support when comparing the W/T front (with the glass sealed beam lights) and the up-level fronts with the composite bolt on lights/brackets. So much so, as swapping the core support is necessary.

Core supports are the same. You just need grill and associated lights and hardware. A little wiring is needed to go to composite headlights but nothing major.

I swapped the other way, Silverado to w/t

Hmm coulda swore the W/T lacked the threaded insert spots and had divots for the lamps.. Maybe not apparently.

I have both a gmc and chevy suburbans, both torn down... No difference I can spot on the core supports...

Maybe I'm thinking of the first few years of the 88-98 trucks when they were glass sealed beam, both 2 and 4 lamp. I think once the composite lamps came in, all the core supports were the same. I think..

But it should go ok for the OP since the truck(s) are '95.
