Been awhile since I've been on. Enforced 6/10s hasn't left much time to hang out on forums. Took a pay hit to get another position that will have better hours and be better on my body.

Drivers door hasn't fit right since I've had the truck, drivers rocker is going, and rusting out at the bottom of the extended cab.

Looking at what should be a good deal on a C2500 with 454 and AT to swap the cab. Hopefully the 454 is in good shape and I can keep it for a backup.

I'm assuming I'll have to swap wiring harness.

The other snag will be the change from AT to manual. Has anyone done this swap? If so how did you line up for the clutch master cylinder cutout.

I would definitely swap harnesses, and I think for the clutch there is a dimple on the firewall for a guide, but I am not sure.

I think I remember one of the old members doing a AT to manual swap years ago. I'm hoping the are still on the forum and chime in.

On a good note, the 454 should be good. The seller paid a Craigslist mechanic to replace the flexplate and starter in a running truck. It worked for a week or so then Autozone starter started going wheee. So I'm thinking the chuckle head either didn't replace the flexplate and just replaced the starter or he put the wrong parts in.
