Most recently, I got at least 3 bolts out with old Mapp gas soldering torches. We call them Presto torches. We were out of acetylene for a while. We had acetylene in the big torch set, but the handiness factor was missing. That was the next step if the Mapp gas torches didn't work. Similar to what we used. And the penetrant will cool the metal and draw the penetrant into the threads, hopefully.
I once had a froze in bolt and did not have a full size torch. Is what I did have was one of those little hand held blaze king ( i think was the brand name ) torches. That little torch heated the surrounding steel enough to get the steel to smoking, I held the torch around the seized bolt a while longer and it came right out then.
I have one of those too. They too work well. I was just surprised that the little Blazer torch would heat that much steel to allow that seized in bolt to release. Most recently, I got at least 3 bolts out with old Mapp gas soldering torches.
