What do I need to do to get the tires to break loose off the line? I realize power is limited by upgrades to the engine (CP3, Turbo, etc..). But I want to get as close to breaking them loose off the line as I can with just a tune. Any ideas?

Thanks

How many tires do you want to "break loose"? My stock LBZ will put the back tires in smoke all stock. With my EFI set at 450 RWHP I can bark all three tire when in 4HI. You have alot of mods I am pretty sure your truck should be hazin all drive tires.

The TC has a lot to do with how it breaks them loose too.

Tuning is more than HP/TQ, the TQ management in the Dmax will hold you back from frying tires.

good point tony. i have the 1057 s/c converter in my truck. it seems alot looser where it takes a lot more boost/fueling down low to light the converter. my buds 1056 seems to be a quicker reacting converter to the torque. we both have the same tune but his feels a little bit more "torquey" than mine. but mine pulls the shit out of his once going.

Does that happen off the line? I would like to just break the rear loose off the line but now that you said all four, that sounds yummy :sifone:.

What do I have to do to the torque management?

For an LBZ look at B1118, B1122, B1123

Those are limit tables, then read the explaination of the table.

Then check to make sure it does not reference other tables for fuel etc, it is like a map, one thing leads to another, if you change everything to raise the fueling, torque limit, etc, then it will work, if you miss one table and then the hard limits stops you.

Then you have codes that can set which will limit fuel based on MAF, Boost, etc.

Everything has to be addressed.

i just went threw the whole maf ordeal. my torque management was all set to where it was supposed to be, and had some fueling down low, not alot because i hated the way it drove, but for logging purposes i maxed out my maf limited fueling and what a differance the down low torque feel is now. i am trying to make a nice table using the map function of the scan tool. i overlooked that table because i was not thinking.

Mine dose not defuel what so ever and she will bark the hell out of the tires off the line and then chirp pretty loud into 2nd. That is a 2000 RPM Boosted launch in 4HI, tryin to launch in 2 Wheel Drive is not an option, it will blow the tires clean off. And yes my Allison hates me!! But she will strait get it, for a stock tranny. I am tryin to decide what tranny or tranny kit to go with, I want to do a Suncoast stage 4 but I would hate to start breaking my input shafts.

Did that throw a MAF code for you?

no it wont, because all your doing is taking the fuel limits out. not sure how the lbz is. i did not touch the maf sensor readings or voltages. just the fuel limits based on the flow rate.
