", has three manufacturing plants: one in Santo Amaro in São Paulo (headquarters), Canoas in Rio Grande do Sul, and Cordoba Argentina. MWM currently, the market leader in diesel engines (36% market share).

I'd like to see if you can get a set of the brazilian spec headlights. I know they are considerably different than the US version.

That's interesting that the S10 sells so well over there. I've seen videos of the colorado in other countries with a v6 turbo diesel.. They say it gets around 25 mpg average if I remember correctly.

Burning oil, do you have a thread going about your Isuzu swap? Which engine are you using, I love seeing isuzu swaps.

My post disappeared!! :eek::eek:

not that i have seen. there are some non-original type but not like that.

Hummm...
I thought existed.

The part numbers are highlighted below.

S10:

Some friends said that the mirrors are the same as the S10, it only changes the basis for fixing the door. Need to see how this is based on their trucks, to see which one fits best.

I love the diesel trucks that are available all over the world except here!!

Why? What's the problem?

Fernando, do you have any more info on the 6 cylinder diesel in the pic above? Who makes it....? What kind of mileage per gallon or KM per litre do you get?

MWM Sprint 6.07T

L4 and L6 versions, with and without intercooler. These engines were also produced for export with electronic injection. They have three valves per cylinder.

(Silverado)
4.198cm3
Bore x stroke: 93 x 103
Compression ratio: 17,5:1
168 hp @ 3500
43,3 kgfm (313 lbs/ft) @ 2000 rpm

What kind of mileage per gallon or KM per litre do you get?

10~11 km/l
24~25 mpg

Do you guys work on/modify your trucks like we do here?
Yeahhhh!! :hihi:

Although there are few trainers of diesel engines in brazil, we learn and find a way.

Like what?

The current S10 (L4) and the competitors, Hilux, L200, Frontier, are all around 13 km/l or 30 mpg.

Very cool info. I would also be interested in the head lights. I think they are actual glass and not plastic. If you can find a set or two let us know. You could be onto a small business.
That 6cly diesel would be very neat to have here. That must be GM's best kept secret!

EPA. has to past the "test", I.E., pay the 'man'. lots of money has to pass hands before they are allowed to run our streets.

I know, but what pollutes more a gasser getting 10MPG or a diesel getting 25-30MPG? Not arguing, just sayin.

exactly my point. a gasser that gets 10 mpg will get a gas guzzler tax but a diesel that gets 30 mpg can't run our streets because the EPA wasn't payed off yet.

few questions fernando:

could not find out any info on the mirror part #'s from the sheet. do you have any info if they are still available?

Thats almost the perfect truck. I wonder if its a nv4500. Mechanical injection? I dont care for the looks of the rear quarter window.

doesn't really flow with the lines, does it? wonder if it would be a title issue. notice how there is no airbag on pass side and it's in the 95/96 style? there's also no hydro-boost brake, looks vacuum.

I did notice the dash. No air bag requirement in Brazil? If I got one across the border I'd buy some junker and swap out the vin plate, not really I would swap the engine into one of mine. I wonder if these trucks are available in Mexico?

Also noticed, only front power windows? looks like rear windows are flip outs

The light yellow/beige chevy above looks like a cross between a 70 chevy and a 79 ford.

Tropical is one of the companies that manufacture these aberrations unfortunately. This company is good, but the result is too ugly ... I'm ashamed to show that it exists!hahaha
The silver appears to be discreet and original (but it don’t), but the black ...

are these electric power windows?
powerwindow.jpg

No. It is a simple sliding window. Original.

the lights look plastic to me.....

Yes.

The Silverado's probably no longer produced, but should not be difficult to find.

Not yet. I think it will be in 2014. Silverado here had no air bags. Some things we export to Mexico, but I think that cars do not. I think they take everything from you, since they are so much better.

GQF1545a.jpg

Not original. Horrible ...

Modified. The original was like this:

Mirrors are from the D20, but the cab is original. That back cover is an accessory soldseparately.

This is the original D20 double cab, including patches. The wheels and the rear coverare not original. I think the wheels are copies of the wheels you.

These adjustments are made for trucks in some urban enterprises that provide some services, such as the electric company, etc..

those D20's are strange

This is the Crew Cab D10, D20 to the previous model. All original, except for themirrors.

Existed from 1964 to 1984. The letters indicate the fuel:

C – Gasoline
D – Diesel
A – Alcohol
