boost fooler

Just buy a gm 3 bar map sensor and throw it on in place of the stock map sensor on the upper intake manifold, it's plug and play and nothing to adjust.

Now thats interesting... I did my potentiometer and solved my defueling problem now I can safely run 10-12psi empty, true test will be with a load of horses.
Where do you get one of the map sensors? Part number? What car do you get the sensor for etc... kust curoous because I haven't read about that yet

You can go on ebay and search for gm 3 bar map sensor, they look just just like the oem 2 bar map sensor. I put one on my truck and it cured the problem of defueling and limp mode. I run up to 18psi now no problem but I'm using a much better And freer flowing turbo than stock

I installed my POT and no more defueling or limp mode it is accomplished with a 5k pot. Only issue I am having with my truck now is fuel mileage. It seems like the mileage is horrible, last tank I ran around 300 on the tank but this was with all stock exhaust intake and everything I opened the pipes freed air up and now it seems like it is worse. What MPG should I be getting eith this truck? It also will smoke a tad bit of white when started but absolutely no black while driving at all. No black smoke ever.

X2

Using a tweak (like a boost fooler) can have unintended consequences... You are fooling the PCM into seeing less manifold pressure, so that it can call for higher boost levels.

That means your waste gate closes more.

That means your backpressure is higher.

That drags your mileage down.

On the other hand,

That means your truck is more responsive.

That means you're having more fun driving.

That makes your right leg longer. :)

Also lowering mileage.
