Blowed timing chain cause IP not to work

Hey everyone having trouble my other motor blew timing chain wich then it broke crank and took some of the block with it. Bought a used motor with low miles. Used my injection pump cause the one I got with it was just filthy inside. Systems bled but I have no fuel in injection lines. Fuel shutoff solenoid works on pump. Wait to start and lift pump only stay on for a 1/2 second before shutting off also. Could the pump be shot from the other motor blowing up???? Thanks any advice would help grounds are all good

Possible but very unlikely.
Double check your electrical because grenaded engine shouldn’t affect glow plug cycle time nor lift pump operating.

Thank you fella will do. I wasn’t sure if there was something in the ip that would shut the glow plug cycle off if it was broke . I’ll let you know what we find.

Actually if the battery has been disconnected that's exactly what happens.

Yup, disconnected battery then hooked up GPs cycle quickly. Should come back around after a couple tries. IIRC

Still haven’t figured it out I got mad and cycled the key about 100 times and it started to work but quit shortly after

I replaced ignition and it still doesn’t work. Kinda lost at this point grounds are good

I suspect the batteries are dead or loose charge.

Charge it then do load (not voltage) test on both batteries one at a time.

Solved faulty harness going to cps. Dumbest thing I’ve ever seen three days of going over wiring lol

When you say db2 do you mean like the 93 that I had it wasn’t near as fussy as this one is . It was only two wheel drive though that’s why I sold it .

The EPA set obd2 requirements that the computer could see both demanded and delivered fuel. The db2 could not do that. So GM had Stanandyne build the ds4. GM was worried about not meeting the 1996 requirements thats why they kicked it off so early.
Saddest part is the db2 beat the ds4 In each category. More efficient so better power and mpg. Then it can burn cleaner too boot. Reliability of db2 is through the roof.
