Blew a brake line last night...on the 6.5

Glad you got it fixed. I AM, however, going to ask you guys to post these non 6.5 specific threads in the right sections. This one goes with brakes.
Thanks

If you're gonna get serious about it, post count here in 6.5 will
drop a lot. :smile5:
There are posts in here about suspension, lights, trannys.......

I don't care about past stuff. I'd just like to see you guys out and about more. As I said, there's alot of knowledge here all over the entire site and that certainly includes you guys... I (we) would like to see it much more widespread in the right areas.

I understand what you're saying about posting in correct areas.
The mods can certainly enforce whatever rules they see fit.
For myself, I enjoy having posts about ANYTHING on a 6.5
equipped truck appearing in the same spot, I just don't have the
time or desire to check a bunch of sub-forums to see
if I am able to help or contribute (or learn)
For example, some of these systems (like brakes)
are pretty year specific - I don't want to look thru 100
posts about brakes on a 2006 Duramax, to find a couple
that actually apply to my specific truck.
Drivetrain, brakes, electrical, interior... all pretty specific to
our trucks - a newer Duramax may as well be a Dodge,
for all the related / crossover parts and procedures.
Not trying to cause tension, just believe these are the
reasons we get so many posts that are OT here

I do see you guys points. One good thing that might be a habit to get into is regular use of the "new posts" button. Makes it easier to see the ones you want to pay attention to.

not trying to stir up any thing but I have to agree with Tookie, I have 3 trucks that are all this body style so they all have basicly the same systems same parts and it is nice that when I have a problem that is related to these OBS Chevy trucks I can search this forum for a thread that is all for these trucks. If I'm looking for info on a "98 1/2' Dodge diesel truck" then I look in the "98 1/2' Dodge diesel truck" threads cause thats where the Dodge info is. Now if there was a Brake sub catigory for the 90something chevy trucks then that would be ok I guess.
