I could work on it later tonight...I'm betting I can google and find one thats been done already...but maybe not in silver...I'll do some searching first though...

btw: Jimsautoparts sells the black rockers and a black lower front spoiler...

but I was thinking just above that front corner marker light(there's a bumper line there) all the way to the back of the car and the lower rear air dam in a flat black would be cool...

but just these black parts would set those wheels off and look cool too...

it would basically look like this but in silver and with black wheels...

I'll find a silver one with balck wheels like this orange one before the day is out...

I voted for the black. I think the silver looks "off" as they are the only thing shiny. The black wheels accentuate the rally stripes and front grille work. Definitely gives the car a meaner, sinister look. Pull the trigger and do it.

Plastidip is Good, but if you Use a Powerful Wheel / Tire / Brake Cleaner, it may Melt it Off. It will Def. come Off if you Use a Power Washer too.

I'd rather see a small chip from a stone that you can touch up if it's paint than a whole sheet of the coating start peeling off. That's why I hate powdercoat. Get moisture under it and it comes off in slabs. :nonod:

Hey folks...I have some input here.

I have come to MY conclusion that it really all pertains to ones taste, BUT....I also feel it boils down to the color of your vehicle.

Chrome or Polished Aluminum rims look great on some trucks/Cars depending on the color of the Vehicle....PERIOD.

Chrome or Polished Aluminum rims get HAMMERED up here in the North during the winter...I Have Photos to PROVE it...NEVER Again would I get Chrome up here.

BUT...I think that if most of your Vehicle is already Black or a Dark color, OR you have all Black trim, Like.. Mirrors, Bumpers, Step bars, Tinted glass...nothing looks better than Black rims..

Once again I think It all pertains to ones taste.

I for one will be pulling my Chrome rims off soon and going with Black...WAY better. Should have done it long ago. Lesson learned.

Chrome rims in MY opinion are Crap..Too much effort to keep clean, polished...etc.. Plus it seems "Everyone" has Chrome wheels...

I was looking into having my American Racing rims Powder coated, was told by friend who owns a powder coating shop in Norwalk,CT...."It's not worth it"

Anyway just my 2 cents worth.

Cheers,
David D.
