Bill Heath - 149mph yesterday at Bonneville!

We know he was using a DS4 that only puts out 80mm3/(1000cycles) so how much power can you get our of just diesel and a DS4?

Somewhere I read that Bill knows how to get 93mm3 out of a DS4

149 mph? didn't he run a good bit faster last time out? 156 rings a bell but heck, I'm gettin old and starting to forget stuff :D

October 09's highest speed was 155mph and, as stated, was with the 6.2 w/6.5 heads etc. Year before that at the World of Speed ’08, the truck registered 150, 153 and 158 respectively with the 6.5 block.

Bill's planning on the World of Speed 10 event this year so we'll see how it all shakes out with the improvements/adjustment applied to this year's race package. I'm thinking positive thoughts.

Paul

The World of Speed 2010 kicks off in August.
If Bill doesn't post any updates from the track, it will have to come from team members either with him at the Flats; from forum members who are in contact via cell phone while he's there (coverage is surprisingly good out there) or wait 'patiently' for him to post something when its all over with the tech results either in the forums or MaxxTorque articles.
I'm planning to particpate as photographer and part-time team member this year (Army scheduling permitting) so I'll post track results etc as time permits. Not sure about pre-race news/posts etc. but the time to write subtracts from the time availabel to prepare for the race. I'd bet MaxxTorque will run at least one full article and an update in the months prior.
I do know, from personnal observation, that Bill appreciates all the support and well wishes from everyone.
