In a street driven 6.5 ext cab pickup. Doing the math, that's about 480rwhp sustained. Impressive!

He's got 2 more days to run.

Go Bill!

Looks like they capped it at 153mph and called it a week.

Over 500rwhp in a 6.5 most likely.

I dont think its as high as 480rwhp, it was achieved by weight reduction and increased aerodynamics. Anything will go 153 with time and distance with as much money as they put in it, my Z28 would do it stock easily. They have twin turbo and water injection so boost pressures were increased probably and fuel output increased through programming and HO injectors.

I'm guessing more like 350hp.

I'm not doubting the truck, or the math for that matter, just curious the formulas used. OP made it sound like fact, perhaps I'm just overreading... It's 40df out here today, I think I'll go wash the truck, lol. (Serious).

The truck has two custom built larger turbos to reduce back pressure along with a twin stage water injection system w/o meth, custom program to allow higher shift points, very high rear gear ratio, much improved aerodynamics, special salt flat high speed tires, no weight reduction, AirDog fuel pump, and a very well built motor. Other than that the truck is factory in almost every way. The reason I know all of this is because I helped build it. Bill can't add meth, propane, or nitrous because it won't allow him to set a record in his class. B/DT

When I talked to Bill he said mid 400s on the up at 4600 rpm. Also, he's running a 6.2 block with 6.5 heads. Says he like the strength of the 6.2 pistons over the 6.5s. Didn't ask about IP.

Hes running the 6.2 now, but wasnt on the first event. I wonder if that is dyno numbers or calculated from speed and what not, which would not be accurate.
