This is where I bought the kit that I used in my thread in the tranny section http://www.electricaladvantage.net/4l80esolenoidmasterkitwinternalharness.aspx They do sell just the individual solenoidsalso. I replaced all the electronic components for $140 including the internal wiring harness. Some of the parts were AC Delco. Here's a link to the thread http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/showthread.php?29925-Installing-A-Electrical-Kit-In-A-4L80E
Be shure to check that the trans fuse isn't blown. One shorted solenoid keeps any of them from working.
I liked the idea of only going in one time. If this is on your 93 you may have to replace the external connector with a pigtail they sell. The oe connector on 91-93 is different from newer somewhat improved ones.

thanks for the info, both times. i will read the post and look at the site. thanks again.

I get my trans stuff from A & Red's. Great people that have almost all the answers! Couldn't say if they are the cheapest or not, but as we know, the cheapest part isn't always the least expensive in the end...

:???::WTF: I don't know why it does that lately. It has happened several times. I didn't submit twice:???::skep:

ordered the parts today, $196.00 shipped. needed the ext harness kit, it being a 93.

#300........

I would go with Leroy's suggestion of goobering the inside of the internal connector up with RTV or other sealant.

i will def do that.
Barry made it look so easy!

It IS easy!!

I got the kit from Electrical Advantage a few months back but didn't install until I could afford to get a deep pan. I did the kit and pan about a month ago. I went real slow just to make sure I didn't do anything wrong since this was my first time doing anything inside an auto tranny.

There was one thing I did different than Barry since I didn't have all the same tools that he did. I jacked up the tranny enough to take the cross member loose and move it back a couple inches. This allowed unrestricted access to the rear pan bolts.

An interesting bit of info, at least to me, was that the kit was sent to me from McMinnville, OR just up the road from me.

got an email confirmation that the parts were shipped today. gonna have to take a day off work to put in looks like.

The worst part is the tranny fluid dripping on you the whole time and having to work around the drain pan. Really shouldn't take more than a couple hours total.

when i have the pan off, gonna put in a drain.

Aftermarket drain plug kits are mostly junk from what I saw.Much better to just weld a pipe coupling to the pan and use a standard pipe plug.

received the trans parts today, sent priority. that was fast. going camping for the long weekend so won't be able to get to it til next week.

USPS Priority is as fast or faster than UPS or Fedex. 2-3 days anywhere in the country.

started work on the trans, didn't finish, had other business to do. put a drain on the pan, got as far as the pressure regulator, TCC solenoid, started plugging the new
internal wiring harness on and stopped at the pressure switch. took longer to do the pan, kept burning through the thin metal. was gonna do a 'how to' but it looks like a mess so no pics and hopefully no leaks. going camping again this weekend so not sure when i can get back to it. thanx to the post by bk95td, otherwise i would be lost.
