Hi guys,

Whom do you recommend for oil analysis? Do you have it mailed in, or do you use a local place? Average cost?

Thanks,

-Rob :)

Rob, why are you asking about oil analysis? (if ya don't mind me askin).

The tahoe isn't losing coolant, is it??

Blackstone is a fine group, they do good work. I think they charge too much):h
Blackstone charges even more for a TBN (Total Base Number) test. It's very important IMO.

PM me for member pricing.

LINK for more info.

Hi Ratman,

Thanks for the concern! No, both trucks are both running fine. Oil looks great, but I am considering moving to full Group 3 or Group 4 synthetic (aka, Mobil1 / Amsoil), a bypass oil filtration system and extend my change intervals.
