mmmm Google brought me to the sixfiveturbodiesel forum.... and I had the surprise to see that my IP address has been banned...

I remember that when I was first discovering the 6.5 and the remote PMD, I registered to this forum, then I turned to the place and the DTR

That's months if not years I haven't posted at sixfiveturbodiesel, and i wonder the reason why I have been banned.
May be somebody is stealth cruising at the place and DTR and wasn't happy about my comments about remote mounting a PMD over the intake ?
Who knows. Anyways, this is not important. Just to let you know, but there's nothing useful to open a can of worms for that...
 
Being in Germany their is a few sites that I am not allowed to lof into any more.:mad2:
 
x2 I check there once a month maybe and nothing. Grancito is the only one I see posting regularly.
 
I put in an app to join there a little over a month ago. And not till just the other day i got accepted. It took so long......
 
The problem is :

You registered from or via a different internet provider.
You registered with a differen APN.
Now, you approch the site from another APN and you'll get this message, cauz that forum will not accept your registered IP via another APN as registered.

DieselFreak from Denmark and I got the same problem. I can change my APN manually, so I get access to the site. I told Garth (Admin) already about this problem and he told me, that he will discuss it with Walt in person, when he'll meet him end of month (IIRC).

Actually I wasn't joking. There was recently a discussion on a Military Vehicle collecting group about problems with another board titled Steel Soldiers and their using the abbreviation of their name. Note the 4th paragraph from the end.

I have edited the quotations below to remove the offending abbreviation
and substituted "XX" so as to not further exacerbate things.

It is worth keeping in mind the popularity of XX (as in German WW2 Nazi
re-renactment) and that term being forever associated with the
real organisation of that name and what they did.

Using "XX" in an email, when it actually refers to Steel Soldiers
is probably a pretty good way of getting a red flag and "coming to
notice". If the Steel Soldiers community wishes to refer to themselves
in that fashion, well, they can grin and bear any side effects,
including visits from men in black suits.

You will note that this list is for the discussion of MV ownership and
weapons only in the sense that they are relevant to MV
ownership ie. de-activated.

As this list is multi national, please also realise that using "XX" in
your email will also have caused a red flag in most western european
countries that received that email. It would not be surprising, if
copies of it have not already been forwarded to the authorities in the
USA including header and source information.

Do you realise that those 2 letters by themselves are forbidden under
German law and the use of them is a jailing offence in that country?
I am told that also applies to France if not other countries.

Please keep in mind that this list is NOT for XX re-enactors, militia,
or anyone else wanting to push the limits.

Keep in mind that auto weapons discussions are also not appropriate as
the majority of list members live in countries (and also US states)
where that is illegal.

It is for the ownership of ex-military vehicles LEGALLY.

You do realize that is Walt's blog site, doubtful you'll see him banned from his own site, I posted there for a while not realizing it was his site, and got myself uninvited to participate when I started questioning logic of underhood mounting and lack of warranty on SSD items sold there. I wasn't banned just one day started getting notices my IP was blocked, same as when I tried to log into steak boys yahoo group
