went to pick up my brother a few minuets ago and heard an odd sound.:( it was an odd intermitent grinding noise, so i got home and opend the hood and began my inspection, turns out the rubber in the HB has come loose from the inner section. i can almost slide the outer ring off the inner. and unfortunatly the part stores are closed today so the truck is parked till tommorow :mad2:

Be thankful it did not grenade the engine.

Are you going to treat yourself to a Fluidamper HB?

no to get up and running again i am putting on a used one that i have in the parts pile. and then since this is the second aftermarket one i have heard of failing i am going to go to the dealer and spend the $100 on a new OE one insrtead of the 450 for a FD.

thanks thats a pretty good price.

every one should check there balancer at every oil change at least. the one that seperated wasnt more than 2 years old.

as if i wasnt having a bad enough 4 day weekend the alternator went out yesterday as well but all is running smooth again.
