ATT for christmas

turbine doc are u runing any muffler on the burb... in runing 3in no muffler optical bump heath hot chip home made intake on my 94 1ton that is the one im puting the ATT on i also have a 93 1 ton 4in no muffler high output injectors from heath turned the pump up till the screew would not turn and gauges on both trucks is there any thing else i can do to eather trucks for more power???

i just ordered my ATT on wed i hope i can get it before x mas... as far as noise it cant be any worse then my old 98 dodge with the v10 straight piped no cats can it???

Shipped, should be there by the 23rd according to UPS. Thank you, I know you are going to like it. Read the instructions and if you have any questions you can call me.

I have a Jardine exhaust with the 4 inch strait through muffler all the way out to the rear of the truck, Not way to loud during normal cruise but loud under load.

I have the diamondeye exhaust and the straight through muffler that came with it. I wouldn't mind it getting a little bit louder then what it is, but I wonder if the ATT might make it too loud. Wouldn't be all that great if the horses freaked out in the trailer from the noise when pulling upphill...

I've looked at the aero exhaust 4040xl resonated muffler, anyone have any experience with it? Think that might do the job of keeping both the horses and the ATT happy?

I have the Heath exhaust system but done a little different. At the end of the muffler I had a 4" Y pipe welded to it. Then 4 inch duals out each side with 5 inch tips. A lot of work but it looks good.

I sure would like some of you fellows/customers (thank you!) to do a Youtube video of your ATT installs.

There is one that Big Blue Chevy did, and it's pretty good, although the ATT is so loud, it overdrives the microphone on his camera till he drives away.

I'd like to link off my website.

When I get myself around to actually getting one I will try to get it on tape!

Yes Heath 4" system on the burb & truck, no optic bump (waste IMO), Heath PCM reflash, Heath FSD remote

One with mechanical IP not much else you can do, on your DS-4 you can do a FTB mod and put on a h/o lift pump, ATT on the 93 also will help, mandrel bent cross over for both can give some assistance if yours is collapsed at all inside.

More power = more heat you'll need to make sure cooling system is up to par also

ASK your neighbors (if you have any close to you) if they heard you rolling around last night LOL I bet the low frequency rumble really makes them love you late at night. I can vibrate the walls on my neighbors house, they love me. When I put the turbo on, my neighbor and I were talking at the mailbox and she asked me if I got a new truck? I asked her why? she said the new truck sure was loud, they can here me leave for work in the morning, she said the walls vibrate when I leave. Must be the little hill by there house! :D

Guess I shouldl have asked them before putting it on, YEAH RIGHT, ):h MY wife says BOYS AND THEIR TOYS, SHEEZZZZZ

Lol nice! I unwrapped my A team this morning!!! I gotta pick up my heads tommorrow and get a passenger side manifold then I can start the reassembly. Wut size flange do I need to buy to connect the exhaust?

Now that's a smart Santa! Congrats! Get that bad boy going!

The exhaust elbow has a flange on it that mates with the stock gm down pipe. If you have your old down pipe cut the flange off of it and use it to weld to your current down pipe. If I remember reading right you were running a Holset so you cut your old pipe flange off. You need to reattach the flange that the old stock or replaced down pipe had.

Enjoy it Coalroller. I was just on the old site and GreenMachine had to take a shot at us ATT guys, again. PITA. Their loss. Does anyone know if Heath is going to do a dedicated tune for the ATT? I'm getting one of his reflashes in the Spring either way so I'm just curious.

Oh boy. Here goes my good standing here but i'm tired of these damn fights from both sides.

Here's what Green machine wrote.

Green Machine said:
Black smoke is wasted money, so is joy riding. I do both, so what are you getting at . I hate when people use that argument lol. Black smoke with high EGTs are pretty bad for these trucks yes, but moderate the black smoke and you shouldn't have a problem . But I do agree that these trucks need the most power they can get, but like Dave said, the IP is the weakest point in our system (power wise), the turbo doesn't help much either (and the ATT isn't the answer for performance either lol).

Mamzerook asked What mike based his claim off of.

mamzerook said:
can you expand on the ATT comment Mike? Have you had experience with one personally? have you been in a truck that is ATT equipped?

And Mike explained his reasoning in his next post.

Green Machine said:
The ATT was designed for better fuel economy and better towing power from what I remember. It was not designed for the ones who want more power and performance out there, but for the people who wanted a better towing experience and get some better mileage. There are many more turbos out there that match better for different horsepower ranges, you just need to find them.

Is his post untrue? I do believe the ATT was designed to be a turbo that would shine where the GM-x failed miserably. Towing and fuel mileage when a T/M was installed. If i'm wrong, so be it. It happens.

And here's what you, guybb3, said when all this was said and done.

guybb3 said:
We're listening. And I'm sure they cost $750 as well.

Very professional of you. He answered with his opinion. I answered you as well, as calmly and as professionally as i could muster after I've watched from the sidelines in pain as the brother's of the 6.5 fight over something so trivial.

Like i said there goes my good standing here. C'est la vie...

I've said this a million times, but i still stand by it. I've tried to keep the two sites separate, like they should be. It's harder to do than it looks, it seems, because i too have failed.
