I get that easy with my GM 8 too, and I'am sitting at 2000+ feet elevationI might have to get a higher reading boost guage. Got on it a little harder tonite and pretty much pegged my 15 psi guage with an empty truck. Not having any issues with smoke but I'm only at 250' elevation

You need a 20-25 PSI boost gauge for the ATT with normal loaded WOT being around 18 PSI. The back pressure is less at 15 PSI... and a few other things like lower IAT.
Your IAT may not get above freezing anymore.
