Anyone in the Moline,IL area ??????

I just looked at the map, for me somewhere around I-80 & I-39 would be best.... I will be coming from Mathersville, a little south of the Quad city off hwy 67..... I don't know what is around there so someone else will need to chime in...

There is a truck stop not to far north of Route 80 on route 39

The one at Morris would be a TA and the restaurant in it is called R-place. Well known for good food. NE corner of the I80-Rt47 interchange. The one at on I39 north of I80 is at the US34 exit. There are 2 there west of the interchange. I've never been to either but am willing to try one. I could always have leftover turkey later...;)

OK then. TA truck stop (R-Place restaurant) Interstate 80 at Illinois rte47. About 35 mi E of the I80-I39 intersection. 11:30 AM Saturday 11/24/12 at the parking lot SW corner where I stuck an arrow in the pic.

Unless somebody has an alternate plan...

I won't be making the trip. The whole family from my wifes side will be @ the house for 3 days. Might need to post in the off topic section for prayers.....
Location is a tad too far as well. 3+ hours from the house. Maybe next time; everyone have a Great Thanksgiving!

Don't forget to take pics guys...Mike has always been good about that kinda thing, but since you will be meeting away from his home, he may forget the camera at home...old age and all that kicking in...:hihi:

The stop on I-39 is a petro. Well, the bigger of the two. Not quite walcott IA, but it is fairly large and has an iron skillet. Can't garranty I can sqeek away. But I'll try.

Good GTG!

Only 5 of us were there. Jeff (jrsavoie) and his wife Cindy, John (jmiller), Chris (sctrailrider), and me but we had a nice visit and Chris brought the DTR can and signed it while there. We spent about 3 hours talking trucks, politics, people, the forum and generally had a nice visit.
It was a pleasure to meet Chris and Cindy and re-new the in person comraderie with Jeff and John.
Here are a few pics and I'll post up some in the Travelling Can thread.
