Any reason to keep the old PMD in place?

I got my PMD relocated a while ago and left the old one in place, I have the intake manifold removed to track down a full leak, is there any reason I have to keep the old PMD in place or can I go ahead and take it off?

Other than saving yourself the hassle of removing it, there's no issues with pulling it.

Pull it, throw it in the round file.

Leave it as a constant reminder of how smart you are and how we can get these vehicles cheap due to the PMD work around.

it wasn't that hard to pull but I can see how someone can screw up replacing one. the bottom torx head screws need a special ratchet....which I left at work

Not if you have the intake out.

I have my 2nd PMD still attached to the pump and still works to this day!! 100k plus!!
