All new steering linkage but still something funky going on...

When I talked to my tire & alignment guy a couple of weeks ago and let him know I was likely to need new tires around the holidays and wanted to do some ball joints and tie rod ends while I was at it he commented that I should do all the bushings at the same time. He said 'you won't believe the difference"

I went in today to check on the progress and they were just setting the lift pads under the frame. As he started jacking the truck up he exclaimed "what the hell!?!?". I was right there and asked if they hadn't seen that before, that that was the reason I took it in to begin with!!! They said that they lifted it with the full weight on the tires and that no, they hadn't seen this before. First thing the tech noticed was the outer tie rods were hitting the anti-sway bars, but other than that, nothing noticeable. So...the a arms are still bad, but they still have no idea what is wrong with my truck. >:-(. Ahhh, why can't people listen? If a guy can replace all the linkage, wouldn't you want to listen to him to hear why the truck is in the shop? Quite frustrating, but still hopeful...

Yep. I did, and I still feel horrible about all of it. Pretty much reinforced my reasons to work on my truck myself though. Oh, and my folks now know why I don't like taking my vehicle to mechanics because they saw how frustrated I was everytime I got off the phone with them. (New lower a-arms, steering gear box and 1 line (which I'm pretty sure they didn't do (cause the fluid was still filthy and the stearing is still finicky)), flipping the outer tie-rod arms to the correct position :)mad2::mad2:), oh, and they removed my spacers in my front shocks because the stock shocks are 1/4"-1/2" too short...they said something about if the shocks limited the compressed front suspension, and didn't allow the bump stops to do their job, that the front suspension would get destroyed = $2500 (or something like that - I was so...errrrrr, that I've tried to forget it all...))
