Aftermath of an 11pm phonecall....

Well we got lucky and it didn't smell tonight. Picked up the boat trailer Aaron's dad bought and went to costco. It was a nice break from the usual Thursday night.

Oh yeah, now my parking lot has exanded again. Right now, at my 1 BR place I'm sitting with 3 trucks, 1 car and 4 trailers. WTF is with me?

and a couple final pieces/parts for my redneck way that I'm going to remove the old clay liner out of the chimney if I can't get the metal insert to slide down easily (which I don't think I'll be able to). One hand spring clamp, tied open with fishing line, lowered down on a rope until clamp is over a section of liner, then lower razor blade attached to long pole (with duct tape of course), cut fishing line, pull up clay liner, repeat process about 22 times.

The clay liner is in 14 inch long sections, but just about every section is cracked in half. I have 13 feet of chimney to do if it comes to it. Tested the process in the garage on my ladder. Seemed to work.

I'm really questioning the wisdom of buying a fixer-upper home. Not that I had much choice but I swear this place is sucking every last bit of what little money I don't have.
